It’s day 6 here at the Sant Jordi Club and this evening the junior men solo competition came to an end with the skaters’freedance. So, let’s take a look to the final standings!

The provisional placements of the style dance have changed: the Portuguese Ernesto Silva, who was in  second position after the first segment of the competition, finally won the gold medal with a good   technical performance.

“I’m feeling great, this is my first world championship and my first year in the junior category, so it’s an amazing result for me. I knew that my strengths were the technical elements and I think that they contruibuted to the final results. I’m so grateful to my coach Hugo Chapouto and to my brother, who helped me a lot and supported me during my training. Now I have high expectations for the next year, since I’d like to repeat this success.”

The Portuguese skater is followed by the Italian Giorgio Casella, who got the silver with an amazing and elegant choreography. Tomorrow this young athlete will compete also with the final group of the junior freeskating and he will perform his long program. At the third position there is another Italian skater, Raoul Allegranti. Both Allegranti and Silva are going to take part in the couple dance competition. So, it’s definitely a challenging world championship for these three top athletes!

In the meanwhile, we’re waiting for tomorrow’s competitions. It’ll be an intense day for the artistic discipline! With regards to junior freeskating, the contestants will have to perform their long programs while junior ladies solo will entertain us with their freedance.
