Another exciting day has already ended, a moving opening ceremony celebrated the World Roller Games 2019. The event’s organising committee created an enchanting show in the spectacular venue of Palau Sant Jordi, located by the Barcelona’s Olympic stadium. During the ceremony many important personalities took part in the opening discourse, including Carmelo Paniagua, President of the Organising Committee, and Sabatino Aracu, President of World Skate.

But let’s take a step back to this afternoon’s competitions. Senior inline ladies performed their long programs and the Italian Chiara Censori confirmed the first place. It is the third gold medal at a world championship for this talented skater and the first in the senior category. The Russian Anastasia Nosova was awarded silver and conquered another success for her national team (yesterday her fellow citizen Anna Semisynova won the gold). On the third place there is another Italian skater, the 21 years old Metka Kuk who got the bronze.

Among the Junior Inline Men, the Chinese Taipei skaters gave us goosebumps with amazing triple jumps. Yi-Fan Chen, who was awarded gold medal, entertained the audience with a beautiful triple toe loop combined with another double toe loop jump. His choreography amazed the spectators just like the one of his friend Hung-Yu Chien. They both performed a smooth choreography to moving and catchy music. Also the Italian Antonio Panfili showed great personality with his artistic impressions and was awarded bronze medal.

Then it was the turn for junior solo dance men to enter the floor. They gave us a taste of their abilities during their swing medley style dances. Currently, the Italian Giorgio Casella is leading the competition thanks to a very good diagonal step sequence and he is followed by Ernesto Silva, who executed a perfect cluster.

Tomorrow the ladies will perform their swing choreography and we’ll have a first look to free skaters with the short programs of junior men and ladies.
