It's been a very intense day, after yesterday's rain, where the queen of speed has confirmed all expectations. Colombia won 8 gold medals out of 10 races.

The Senior’s 10k elimination which could not be disputed on Monday due to the rain, have seen great performances from the athletes who adapted very well to the change of the time.
In the Ladies, towards half race, a fall has knocked out two big names: Lollobrigida and Tas. The race was not really fast, and in the end Luz Karime Garzon, Colombia, took advantage of the situation and controlled the majority of the race. Gold medal for her, followed by Ho-Chen Yang, China Taipei, and Mareike Thum, Germany.

A lot of fighting in the men’s race, not easy to manage. In fact the top 3 skaters were all very smart and strong. Colombian Cujavante Alex repeat last year title winning the race. 2nd place for Bart Swings, Belgium, always very bold, and 3rd place for Italy with Daniel Niero.

No brakes on today program, and after all the heats of 500mt ( for the Senior category ) and 1000mt ( for the Juniors ), finals were run under a burning sun.

In the Junior Ladies only Nerea Langa seems to keep up with the Colombian Maria Jose Perez Porto. The final results, in fact, was unveiled after the looked of the photofinish who determined Maria Jose first, Nerea second and in the back Giorgia Valanzano from Italy, third place.

The 1000mt in the Junior men was really interesting and some new faces reached the final. The race was defined only in the last lap where Zhenhai Zhang, took the lead and the first win for China. Second place for Elia Fasolo, Italy, and third place for the 10k point/elim Champion, Jason Suttles.

In the Senior’s 500mt Colombia was unbeatable. For the Ladies the win was for Sarmiento Kerstinck, followed by the great performance of Pedronno Mathilde who lost the first position just in the last meters, and third place for Chinese Taipei with Hue-Chi Peng.
The men’s race was dominated by the Colombian duo Pedro Causil and Edwin Estrada. Pedro was back in the inline skating world after a brake on the ice skating and the Olympics. We are happy to see him with still this hunger for victory! First place for him, second place for Edwin and third place for Ricardo Verdugo, Chile.

The great show of the Relays closed the day.

In Junior Ladies, an incredibile pass of South Korea ( Lee - Kim - Mun ) , made them conquer the gold medal. Silver for Spain ( Langa - Mendoza - Gonzales ) and bronze for France ( Alison Honorine - Manon ).
In Junior Men, Colombia ( Mendoza - Ramirez - Carballo ) took the win, second place for Italy ( Scotto - Tafi - Cannoni ) and third for South Korea ( Sim - Choi - An ).

Also in the Senior Ladies, Colombia was crowned World Champion with Rueda - Viveros - Garzon. Silver for South Korea ( Lim - An - Lee ) and bronze for France ( Marine - Clemence - Mathilde ).
Senior Men, same history, Colombia won their 8th gold medal of the day with Jimenez - Cobo - Estrada, silver medal for France ( Nolan - Elton - Le Pivert ) and bronze medal for Belgium ( Medard - Sibiet - Swings ).

The races were really exciting, and the crowd was on fire!
