Bangkok2016: Let's go with Speed Slalom competitions

Inline Freestyle

First day of competition at the Indoor Stadium Huamark in Bangkok for the tenth edition of the World Inline Freestyle Championships with the participation of 23 countries and of about 200 athletes.

The competitions began early in the morning with the qualifications of the today's specialty: Speed Slalom, starting with the Junior Women, which took place regularly. In the early afternoon the athletes fight for the final.

Junior Women - Speed Slalom

Podium for China Taipei, a very strong team in the freestyle skating. Here following the final ranking:

1. The Pei Yu (Chinese Taipei)
2. Chen Pei Yi (Chinese Taipei)
3. On Jou Yu (Chinese Taipei)

Junior Men - Speed Slalom

Also present on the men's podium China Taipei, which fought until the last competition against Austria and China, conquering the second place.

1. Pedram Ranjbar Vaki (Austria)
2. Xiao Bing Sheng (Chinese Taipei)
3. Zhang Hao (China)

Senior Women - Speed Slalom

Italy, for the Senior Women, won the top step of the podium, followed by China and again by Italy:

1. Barbara Bossi (Italy)
2. Lu Qianqian (China)
3. Cristina Rotunno (Italy)

Senior Men - Speed Slalom

Among the Senior Men, after very exciting races, the final ranking is composed as follows:

1. Pan Yusuo (China)
2. Savio Brivio (Italy)
3. Dong Wu Yan (Chinese Taipei)

After the races, the Official Opening Ceremony of the Worlds took place, which was officiated by the following authorities: Piti Bhirombhakdi (TESA President), Kobkarn Wattanavrankul (Ministry of Tourism and Sports), MR. Sakon Wannapong (Governon Sports Authority of Thailand) and Eddie Chua (FIRS Chairman of the Freestyle Technical Committee).

Before the ceremony a minute of silence has commemorated the death of the King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The ceremony continued with a suggestive show of Thai Kick Boxing performed by very young Thai boys and accompanied by tribal music played live: stunts and fights choreographed together with war cries. Then a real freestyle skating show, including nice choreography and jumps on the ramp.
