During executive board and NFs meeting, World Skate decided to postpone the date of the elective congress after Tokyo Olympic Games.

Following the statutes, the election of the new board must be held within 5 months by the end of the Olympic cycle (May 2021). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the postponement of the Olympic Games, World Skate Governing Bodies agreed on waiting after the games to hold the elections.

The meeting also gave the opportunity to the LOCs of the artistic, inline speed skating and inline hockey world championships to brief NFs on the ongoing organization of the events and the measures that will be adopted to prevent any COVID-19 related risk.

World Skate President Sabatino Aracu's words:"I'm so proud to lead this federation, moreover as I see you all working with the same passion and love for our sport despite of the COVID-19. Nothing can stop our passion!"
