Roller skating hall in Saint-Petersburg (Russia)

November 25, 2006 will be the great day for Russian inline skaters. Finally, after a very long process the will be the opening of special indoor place for inline skating.

Previously we have one place where it was possible to skate not in season, but it works very rarely.

This track is a new step for us. Not looking, that it is very far away from the international standarts, it is very important for us and will help to develop inline skating much more faster than it is now.     

  The sport hall have a good location only 100 m far from one of  the underground stations and situated in a trade center, with shops, cafes and bars. Working  hours are from 12 till 21 every day  

  Totally the square of roller hall is 100 m on 20 m. The walls after opening will be covered y gym mats.

The surface is rather good and not so «icy» and is made from cement drip. The place for skaters is divided on 2 parts.  One part is for a skate park: aggressive skaters: Second  - for the fitness skating.

Slalom skaters have their area in the center of the lap, where it is possible to put 7-8 roads of “glasses”. The inline speedskaters are lucky to skate around the slalom area.  One day of a week will be given for inline hockey players. Together with the official opening of the Roller hall will be inline short track competitions on 200 m. The report will follow.
