May 27, 2007 – SAM Roller Club (Kiev) in assistance with The Kiev Municipal Administration and The Head Physical Training and Sports Committee present the Kiev Open Speedskating Marathon.
I can say in all modesty that this competition is going to be the grand roller sport event of all times in Ukraine. We expect the top speedskaters from Kharkov, Lvov, Odessa and Donetsk as well as Byelorussia and Russia to take part in the competition.
Registration will be open from 8.00 till 8.50 at the event site – The Independence Square (Maidan Nezalezhnosty). The competition will start at 9 a.m. by the 1,5 km distance for the “Fitness” category, followed by the 10 km distance for the “Race” category.
The Kiev Speedskating Marathon is an open competition that anyone can take part in. To sign up for the competition send us a participation request. The competitors must also confirm their participation for the judge committee at the event site and pay in a fee of 20 UAH (about 4 USD).
The sportsmen are allowed to compete in the “Race” by the decision of the referee, provided they have proper equipment. The marathon will be judged by the professional referee team, a photo-finish system will be installed at the finishing post. The referee decisions are not negotiated during the competition. The participants can appeal against the referee decision in the written form during the first half an hour after the end of the competition.
The winner in the men’s “Race” category will be awarded with a 500 USD prize, the second and third runners up will receive 250 USD and 150 USD correspondingly. The rest of the prizes are also worth fighting for.

Inline Spring 2007, Voronezh!
In the beginning of May (5-6.05) 2007 Voronezh sports center “Olympic” will host an outstanding sports event – the Inline Spring Festival. It will combine the most spectacular components of our sport: speedskating, slalom, freeskate and freeze tag.
This year’s competitions have significant status: The International Roller Cup Stage, The Federation Championship Stage, The Russian Cup Stage and so on. 
However, the serious approach will not be able to kill the atmosphere of joy and friendship of the festival organized by the Russian Speedskating League.
The competition is held in the assistance with:
• Russian Rollersport Federation
• “Olympic“ sports center administration.
The sportsmen are allowed to compete by the decision of the referee, provided they have a proper equipment.

The competition entrance fee is 150 roubles (in case of preliminary registration). In case of registration on the event day the entrance fee is 200 roubles. The additional fee for participating in more than one event (speedskating, slalom + freeskate, freeze tag) is 50 roubles for every event.
