Great number for the 2018 Speed Skating Masters Marathon World Championships:138 athletes attended the event in Engadin - Switzerland.
Divided into 5 categories for gender - U40, U50, U60, U70 and O70 male and female - the unstoppable participants skated the 42.195 km from Maloja to S-chanf in a wonderful fall day with mild temperatures and bright susnhine. The circuit is quite demanding because of the differences in height and the high speed that can be reached in the slopes - till 50km/h - but the wonderful landscape and the great and warm organization deserve the effort.
