After three days on the blue track, the speed discipline moves to the road circuit.

The finals started in the afternoon with the Junior 15k elimination.
In the ladies, it was an emotional yet incredible competition. Italy grabbed its first gold of the Championship thanks to Giorgia Valanzano, already YOG medalist in Buenos Aires, silver for Colombian Quiroz Alfonso Maria Jose ( who was relegated from first to second because of team fault ) and bronze for Laura Peveri. It was a special medal for Laura, because just some hour after her father’s death, she decided to react and making an incredible athletic gesture full of feelings of joy and sorrow.
In the men’s event, the Colombian duo dominated the race. Gold for Mantilla Pinilla Juan Jacobo, silver for Ramirez Hurtado Raul Enrique and bronze for the Italian Gabriele Cannoni.

In the Senior Ladies 10k points, once again team work made the difference. Colombia did a perfect job having under control the math to finish first and second with Johana Viveros and Laura Isabel Gomez Quintero. Third place for Garam Yu, Korea.

In the men’s race a breakaway defined the podium, while the peloton slept a little before start trying to catch them. Yan-Cheng Chen, Chinese Taipei, is the new World Champion followed by his breakaway’s mate Timothy Loubineaud, France, and bronze medal for Bart Swings.

The one lap event was dominated by the power of the Colombia team. In the Senior Ladies, gold and silver for Andrea Canon and Kerstinck Sarmiento, bronze medal for Sandrine Tas, Belgium.
In Senior Men, Edwin Estrada wins his third gold of the Championship. Gwendal Lepivert, France, grabbed the silver and Pedro Causil, bronze.

Special guest today at the venue. Leticia Bufoni, World Skate athletes' representative, 5 per X-Games gold medalist in skateboarding and one of the most powerful woman in sport, came with the President Sabatino Aracu to see the races and to award the athlets. What an honor!
