World Skate and SLS are pleased to announce that the Street Skateboarding World Championship will take place in São Paulo from the 16th to the 22nd of September.

Due to circumstances out of our control, we have been forced to change the location of the upcoming 2019 World Championships. Despite working nonstop with our promoter in Mexico City to make this event possible, they were unable to meet the necessary standards in order to host a premiere SLS event.

We are sincerely sorry to all of our fans in Mexico City who were looking forward to this event as much as we were. It was not anticipated by any means. We will do our best to address any major inconveniences this relocation may cause and we truly appreciate your understanding and continued support.

Despite this unfortunate news, the 2019 World Tour must go on.  We have made the decision to relocate the WS / SLS 2019 World Championships to São Paulo, Brazil.  We are very excited to be heading to São Paulo for the first time and we’re looking forward to witnessing another amazing World Championship event.

São Paulo will host both the Park Skateboarding World Championships and the Street Skateboarding World Championships in two consecutive weeks, creating an unprecedented celebration of elite skateboarding as it enters the final season for qualification for Tokyo 2020. Further information about the event location, schedule, seeding and registration process will be announced soon.
