The Peruvian street artist Fiasco created the Lima 2020 “chamanes”

The Skateboarding Open Street & Park will take place at the Costa Verde skatepark, currently being remodeled by California Skateparks and will be a qualifying event for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Being a 5 Star event for Street and Park and the Pan-American Continental Championship of Street, the event will put at stake important points for Olympic qualification: no doubt it will be a not-to-be-missed event.

And, for sure, it will be the perfect opportunity to visit Peru: one of the world’s most varied countries in terms of history, natural reserves and gastronomy. With 12 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and 84 of the planet’s 117 life zones, you will experience touching landscapes and astonishing culture.

World Skate Open Lima 2020: It’s just one month to go and we are glad to share with you the awesome artwork of Peruvian street artist Fiasco (Check HERE Fiasco's profile on Instagram).

Here we have two “chamanes”, or shamans, the ancient Peruvian “witch doctors” whose deep bond with nature can easily remind us of the relationship skateboarders have with the wind, the sky and gravity. Peru is a country with more than 5,000 years of history and these mystical modern skateboarders also carry some graphic elements of the cultures of the Peruvian territory. Where the Andes meet the Amazon Rainforest, where a culture called Awajún replicates the geometry of the Universe through the drawings in their crafts.

We are confident that OUR “chamanes” will lead us safely through this amazing event in Lima
