Well known glories and new talents performed today in the Pala Igor Arena in an impressive high-level competition. The public, attending in the venue or following the event on FIRS Webtv, was in front of the Top athletes of the solo dance and free skating in the Senior categories: a kind of emotion that can be barely passed down by words.

Here we had technique, interpretation, passion and pure talent in maybe the highest manifestation we could imagine. As expected, also thanks to the support of the local audience, the Italian National team imposed its mark on the day, with two Gold medals in the Solo dance and staking a claim on full podium in the Free skating both Ladies and Men.

Senior Ladies Short Programme
A perfect and sensational Short Programme brought Silvia Nemesio (ITA) to lead the partial ranking after the Short Programme. Her teammate are both in the first position of the ranking: the pluri-champion Debora Sbei (ITA) and Letizia Ghiroldi (ITA), at her first World Championship in the Senior category. Mónica Gimeno Coma (ESP) is quite close to the Italian trio, and is still in the dun for the podium: only light flaws in the main difficulties performed blocked her from a better positioning.

1 Silvia Nemesio ITA
2 Debora Sbei ITA
3 Letizia Ghiroldi ITA

Senior Men Short Programme
Luca Lucaroni (ITA) and Alessandro Amadesi (ITA) are in the leading position before the long programme; Imperfections in the performance of Andrea Girotto, reigning Italian Champion, costed him the third partial position in favor of the Spanish Pere Marsinyach Torrico.

1 Luca Lucaroni ITA
2 Alessandro Amadesi ITA
3 Pere Marsinyach Torrico ESP

Senior Solo Ladies - Result
Nothing changed in the final ranking after the Free dance. Silvia Stibilj performed in a perfect way a wonderful "Anna Karenina" and, in a climax from joy to death, got the public involved and touched.

1 Silvia Stibilj ITA
2 Viviana Osorio COL
3 Cecilia Liendo ARG

Senior Solo Men - Result
It was maybe the most intense and uncertain competition of the day: with an electrifying performance, Daniel Morandin came back from the disadvantage after the compulsory and style dances and climbed on the first step of the podium, adding one more medal to his palma res and to the Gold record won by an athlete in the Solo Dance.

1 Daniel Morandin ITA
2 Ricardo Pinto POR
3 Alessandro Spigai ITA
