Still Italy on the podium here at the 2018 Artistic Skating World Championships. Gold for Silvia Stibilj and silver for Rachele Campagnol in Senior Solo Dance. In mens category Portuguese Ricardo Pinto got on the first place, followed by the Italians Daniel Morandin and Alessandro Spigai.

SENIOR MEN. After the end of the short program, Luca Lucaroni shines once again. The Italian World Champion has presented a touching and technically perfect program to the sound of “Hallelujah”. Clear reference to his Coach and “Maestro” Gabriele Quirini, tragically dead a few months ago. One step behind, with a brilliant “patient-doctor” performance, follows the Spanish Pere Marsinyach Torrico. Alessandro Amadesi wounds up the provisional podium on the third position with a curious and original version of the well-known song “Father and Son”. Only fifth place fro the talented Michele Sica from Italy. Tomorrow, Senior mens and ladies from the eleventh position on will get on the rink while, top ten athletes, will get back on the scene Friday October 12.

DANCE COUPLES. Eight couples competed today for Senior Style Dance category. At the end of the “first round” the “Azzurri” Anna Remondini-Daniel Morandin and Silvia Stibilj-Andrea Bassi place themselves on top of the provisional ranking. Third position for the Portugueses Marina and José Souto. Same situation in Junior Category, where we can find Asya Sofia Testoni-Giovanni Piccolantonio as temporarily leaders of the ranking, followed by Alessia Benedetto-Emanuele Garbolino. Current third position for Maria Beatriz Lopes Sousa – Francisco Silva. They will all be back on the rink on Friday.

SENIOR SOLO DANCE. Silvia Stibilj (Italy) goes golden once again, followed by a wonderful silver medal earned by her team mate Rachele Campagnol. Brazilian Ana Beatriz Morais De Toled completes the podium. In mens category Ricardo Pinto is temporarily leading the ranking, followed by Daniel Morandin and Alessandro Spigai, both from Italy.
