Day nine: Pairs jumped in and rocked the show

End of the short program for pairs.
Spotlight on pairs today at the Artistic Skating World Championships. Italy keeps shining in both junior and senior categories, remaining on the podium waiting for the long program. In Junior category, current first position of the provisional ranking for the defending champions Alice Esposito-Federico Rossi, followed by Gioia Fiori-Francesco Mascia, both pairs are from Italy. Only third and fourth positions for Samantha Krusza-Darius Sanders and Annika Bullock-Chance Becker from the USA.
In Senior category, five pairs competed on the rink and the World Champions Rebecca Tarlazzi-Luca Lucaroni are temporarily first in the ranking, followed by their team mates Sharon Giannini-Matteo Rizzo and Isabella Genchi-Alberto Peruch, all from Italy. Ranking has been closed up by the French Camilla Cherifi-Thomas Picard and Carolina Otalora-Juan Manuel Lemus from Colombia. Junior and Senior Pairs will get back on the scene on Saturday with the long program, starting from 2.20 pm. 
 
INFO. Tomorrow on Vendéspace rink, at Beaupuy Park in Mouilleron-Le-Captif, competitions will start at 2.30 pm with Junior Dance Couples, followed by Senior top 10 at 3.40 pm. Senior Dance Couples will step out on the stage at 8.00 pm. Awarding ceremonies will close the day. 2018 Artistic Skating World Championships are broadcasted live streaming on World Skate TV.
