Argentina, Italy, Spain, Mozambique and Colombia already qualified for the knock-out phase; Angola only needs one more point. The remaining two places will go to the winners of Portugal-France and Chile-Germany, scheduled for tomorrow.

The second day of the group stage delivers the first verdicts in both World Championship and Firs Cup.
In group A, the defending champion Argentina got the second victory after a difficult match against France. As yesterday against Portugal, Argentina won with the same result of 5-2. And, as yesterday, the task has been very difficult to achieve. France, that risks the relegation to Firs Cup after having lost against Italy, played a very tough game, defending its cage from the argentinian attacks and creating many opportunities to score.
The great surprise of the day has been the victory of Italy against Portugal with the result of 4-2. The team coached by Massimo Mariotti played at its best obtaining the pass for the quarter finals. Tomorrow, in the last game of the first phase, Argentina and Italy will play for the first place of the group A.

Losing the game of today after having lost yesterday, Portugal now risks being excluded from the World Championship. The reigning European Champion shares the last place of the group A with France and tomorrow the two teams will play against to qualify for the quarter finals.
In group B too, two teams are already in the second phase. Mozambique will for sure represent the African rink hockey in the main competition. The clear victory against Germany kept the African team at the first place of the standing together with Spain which won against Chile, but only at the end of a very balanced match.

Colombia (for sure) and Angola (most likely) will be the two teams that will qualify for the World Championship quarter finals from the Firs Cup. Both the teams won their second game, but Angola needs at least a point in the last match of tomorrow against Egypt, while Colombia already got the pass.
Tomorrow the group stage ends and the pairings of the quarter finals will be clear in both World Championship and Firs Cup.
In Confederations Cup, the tournament continues in a very balanced mood. After two days, there are no teams with two victories. India and Israel lead with 4 points each with Taipei and Japan only one point away.
