Chengdu - the last step of the WS Roller Freestyle Park World Cup

Roller Freestyle

Once again the cooperation within FISE and World Skate brought to a very high level event with high participation both in audience and athletes: Chengdu was the last step of the 2018 Cup and it was amazing as expected.

A British invasion took the Roller scene by storm as Joe Atkinson became the first British athlete to take overall victory in the WS Roller Freestyle Park World Cup. His smooth style and consistency proved to be the secret behind this success. With lots of other athletes hungry to take the title off him next year, 2019 is sure to be an explosive year in Roller!

In the Women's Roller, it is the French rider Manon Derrien who wins the FWS 2018 overall. She is ahead of the Japanese rider Azuma Chihiro, with whom the competition was tight during these last stages. In third place, we find the Spanish rider Mery Munoz. It's been a fantastic season for the women.

Joe Atkinson is the winner of the FWS 18 series with a total of 26,700 points ahead of Semi Croft with 22,400 points and Maxime Genoud with 16,500 points.
The pressure was double on this stage Chinese because it is here that everything was decided!
