Following up on the last International Judging Commission Session (ISJC), held in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil in November 2019,  World Skate began developing a plan to deploy a global educational system for Skateboard Judging.

The goal of the IF is to promote and establish a globally recognized judging standard that provides a pathway for aspiring judges to work their way up from the grassroot level, all the way through to Olympic category events.

As a starting point for this process, World Skate has begun running a pilot project that is bringing a small series of judging seminars to various continents. To do so we have partnered with a number of NGBs that proactively reached out to World Skate requesting support in running judging courses.

Under these premises, we are glad to announce the first two of these seminars held on opposite sides of the globe.

The Oceania Judging Seminar took place right before the Oceania Continental Championships, in February 2020,  thanks to the support of Skate Australia.

The Dutch Judging Seminar took place on the 29th of February and the 1st of March in Den Haag.

This level of seminar is meant for judges with experience at the National Level, certified by a WS recognized NGB, that aims to align with the judging standards of official and sanctioned international events.

Participants in these seminars will receive a World Skate base level certification valid to judge events at the continental level.
