The event, scheduled on April 5-11 in Lima, has been suspended due to the provisions adopted by Peruvian authorities to contain the spread of COVID-19.

The contest was supposed to host the World Cup Skate Open Marathon and the Skateboarding Open Street & Park, with the Skateboarding events sanctioned as qualifying event for the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020.

As the flights ban has been introduced between Peru, Europe and Asia for thirty days from March 16 and considering the evolving nature of the COVID-19 situation, World Skate and the local authorities have decided to suspend the event.

Carlos Canales, President of  the Peruvian Cámara Nacional del Turismo - CANATUR: "World Skate and Peru have made the appropriate decisions at a very challenging time for the whole humanity. Let's be supportive and, after this moment of global crisis, we will be always waiting for you in Lima!"

A new date for the event will be set and released soon.
