Short Programs for Junior Free Skating have six required elements. Among the highest valued elements are the combination jump and combination spin. A Short Program sets the stage for how the entire competition can play out heading into Long Programs. With the current standings, Spain has taken the lead in both the Ladies and Men.

The top three skaters in the World Skate Rankings are in the Junior Ladies Free Skating competition, but it is two others that are leading the pack. Not only are the medals at stake in Argentina. This is the first World Championship where skaters will earn points to set off the rankings for next season. With this important turning point the competitors in Junior and Senior Free Skating, Pairs, Couples Dance and Solo Dance will be awarded points which will lead to the Artistic Skating Series 2023 culminating in the World Cup Final.

Wednesday, November 2 is the Short Program for Senior Free Skating for Ladies and Men. The action starts at 16:10 at America Pavilion at Youth Olympic Park.c
