WSG Argentina: Artistic, Roller Dreams and Millenium Team for Argentina and Celebrity for Italy, the last gold medals of the Artistic World Championship

The final day of competition for Artistic Skating at the 2022 World Skate Games was filled with emotional skating! Senior Precision, Senior Quartets and Large Group were all on the medal quest. Crowds lined up for hours in anticipation of this special night. The sold out audience was in for a treat with these spectacular events!

In Senior Precision there are eight required technical elements that the teams are scored upon along with the four Components of Skating Skills, Transitions, Choreography and Performance. The teams are made up of 16 skaters and move as a unit to perform precision formations and very difficult elements.

Winning the Gold Medal was Argentina!  Roller Dreams of Argentina skating to the music Latin Soul wowed the standing-room only crowd with their bright choreography, precise elements and impressive components.  Scoring 71.73 total points, Roller Dreams made it two out two for Argentina as World Champions in the Precision events.  Capturing the Silver Medal was Precision Skate Bologna of Italy. With 65.75 total points, Precision Skate Bologna skated to the music of Bittersweet/Never Forget/Riding the Light with ease and synchronicity.  Sincro Roller of Italy won the Bronze Medal.  In brilliant costuming to music of Temporal/2Wei  they earned 61.30 total points.

Next up was the Senior Quartets. Moving with ease, innovation and speed and four skaters on the floor, it is an event not to be missed.  The Gold Medal for Senior Quartets was won by Italy. Celebrity performing Pas de Quatre was the perfect mix of classical and modern with incredible speed, deep edges and beautiful turns.  The Silver Medal belonged to Vortex of Spain. Vortex presenting Vortex had an explosive and engaging style.  Deja Vu of Italy won the Bronze Medal. So It Is Written was performed with wonderful strength.

Large Groups brought the stories!  Large Groups can have 16-30 skaters and with originality and exquisite choreography it was a hot battle. Bringing the crowd to their feet was the Millennium Team of Argentina winning the Gold Medal.  Trabajar En Equipo with high energy and great design gave the team the World Champion title. The Silver Medal was earned by CPA Olot of Spain. Cutting edge choreography was seen throughout their performance of  Climbing.  Winning the Bronze Medal was CEPA Girona of Spain performing Synapses with innovative movements and use of costumes

The Precision and Show events showed how Artistic Skating is not only a sport but can also be striking theatre. With magical choreography and stunning elements these events will be seen at the World Cup Final.

The 66th World Championship for Artistic Skating has now concluded. Champions were crowned. Records were set. Each and every reason why Artistic Skating is the best and most beautiful sport in the world was seen.

Congratulations to all athletes. The 2023 season will kick off with the Artistic International Series!
