Day two, four more games, with one day left for the Group Stage ending with Argentina securing its place in the quarterfinals, and Italy reaching the top of Pool B with the same four points as Portugal after the tie between the two teams.

In a match in which the Chilean team turned its image in the second half, the French team won 7-5 (6-3 at half-time) on this second day of the Men World Championship.

The Chilean were unable to impose themselves in the rink, in the first 25 minutes, as the French team didn't allow it, playing quickly, both with the ball and the players, which disarmed Chile's defensive approach. The Europeans began to gain the advantage on the scoreboard in the first ten minutes with goals from the Di Benedetto brothers, Bruno (1) and Roberto (2). Nicolas Fernandez scored the first Chilean goal through a penalty shot. France continued its offensive approach, and before breaktime, Bruno Di Benedetto scored three more goals. Still time, before the ending of the first half, for Alejandro Osorio to score two more goals thus approaching his team do the Europeans.

Chile's second half was the strongest they've shown in this World Championship, with a more straightforward game style, creating opportunities in the opposing area. Thus, scoring the fourth, at minute 11, bringing the game back to a two goals difference. France again relied on the Di Benedetto brothers to score, with Roberto scoring his team last goal. For France, this hard-earned win will be a good incentive for its next match against Italy, with whom it will potentially play for second place in Group A.

Spain bounced back from yesterday's defeat against Argentina with a resounding 13-2 win over Mozambique (8-1 at half-time) in the second match of the afternoon. The Spanish were determined to settle the score early, with the semifinals already in mind.

In fact, Spain scored two goals right from the start (minute 23 with a one second difference between the two!), by Ignacio Alabart and David Torres. Mozambique did manage to score, by Filipe Navais, but from then on it was all about Spain, which closed the first half with a 8-1 result.

In the second half, the game's pattern remained unchanged. Spain continued to dominate, and Mozambique played defensively, trying to keep the score as low as possible.

In this day’s third match, Italy tied 2-2 against Portugal (1-1 at half-time), and now has the same four points as the Portuguese, leading Pool B.

Portugal entered imposing some intensity from the start, while Italy tried to reach the goal through medium distance shots. After the first few minutes, the Italian team started growing, trying to create more goalscoring situations, but the Portuguese goalkeeper, Pedro Henriques, was constantly watchful.

Italy managed to create three eminent goal situations, with the Portuguese goalkeeper denying the Squadra Azzurra's attempts. At minute 16, Portugal had the opportunity to open the scoreboard, as the Italian team received a blue card due to a foul over Henrique Magalhães. Called to score, Hélder Nunes was unable to beat Riccardo Gnata.

Italy continued with a cohesive defence, rapidly going out in transitions, and causing difficulties to the Portuguese team. At minute 6, Pedro Henriques saved a penalty shot in favour of the Italians (missed by Andrea Malagoli.

The goal eventually arrived for Italy, three and a half minutes before the end of the first half, following the execution of a direct shot, due to a blue card shown to Diogo Rafael. 11 seconds later, Portugal replied through Henrique Magalhães, who re-established the tie, in a first period in which Pedro Henriques shone in the goal.

The second period started with a penalty for Portugal. Gonçalo Alves scored and Portugal gained the advantage on the scoreboard.

At minute 12, a long range shot from Francesco Compagno surprised Pedro Henriques, and Italy tied the match. Three minutes later, another opportunity for Portugal to get the lead again, as the Italians were awarded their 10th foul. This time, Gonçalo Alves missed, and the tie remained until the end.

Argentina beat Angola by 4-0 (3-0 at half-time) in the today’s last game, and already has a place in the quarterfinals. Alvarez (2), Nicolía and Mena where the host team scorers, at an again sold-out Aldo Cantoni.

Argentina´s favouritism was evident in the first 25 minutes, with the team promoting a fluid rotation of its players. Pablo Alvarez opened the scoreboard, Nicolía scored the second with a long-range shot and the third was signed by Mena, after am excellent assist from Gonzalo Romero.

In the second period, Argentina its domain, managing the match. With just over three minutes to the end, Pablo Alvarez's scored the last one for Argentina, who has now six points, escorted by Spain and Angola, with 3 points each.
