Following the incredible success of the first Components lesson held in late October by the International Artistic Skating Technical Commission Chairman, Mr. Nicola Genchi, World Skate is pleased to announce that the lesson will be rerun on December 6th 2020! Those who could not participate the first time, will now have their chance! What are you waiting for?

Nicola Genchi graduated in Computer Sciences in 1995 and has been working as software developer, analyst and project manager for various companies (i.e. European Space Agency, IBM, Italian National Post Office) from 1997 to 2015. He speaks Italian, English and Spanish. He has been a skater of FISR (Italian Federation of Roller Sports) from 1980 to 1989 in Figures, Free and Pairs specialties. He has been an Artistic Skating Italian National judge since 1989 and became an International judge eleven years later. He has been a member of the Artistic Technical Commission of FIRS/World Skate since 2005, in which he eventually took up the position of Chairman in 2017. He is also the Project Manager of the new judging system of the Artistic Skating competitions, which has been made official since 2009.

PHYSICAL FLEXIBILITY

From rhythmic gymnastics to skating: Strenght and Elegance come together. World Skate will launch another not to be missed lesson about Physical Flexibility, feautiring the ability of combining technique and physical mobility, theory and practice. Ms. Elisabetta Vitiello (Italian Physical Trainer) will lead this lesson, explaining and demonstrating how rhythmic gymnastics exercises can be also used in Artistic Skating to facilitate the success of some skating poses and moves. Get warmed up and go book your admission for one of the two slots for the lesson.

Vitiello Elisabetta Vitiello (Italy)
Elisabetta Vitiello got her Diploma at the Artistic Institute “Decio Celeri” and speaks three languages: Italian, English and Spanish. As a rhythmic gymnastic athlete, she was Vice-Champion at Ball in 2006 and Vice-Champion at Clubs in 2007. She won several National and International titles such as: National Championship title in “Serie C” (2008); 2nd place at the International ranking in Clubs (2009); “Serie A” Italian Championship (2013); Regional Championship in Ball (2014). She was a coach at “Capriolese” club and she has been coaching for “Opera di Roma” club from 2014 to 2016. She has worked at the summer camps held in Forza and Costanza di Brescia, where she has also been a coach from 2006 to nowadays. She is Certified Coach Level 1 for FGI.
