Junior Free Skating on the spotlight

Day 7 of competition is totally dedicated to the Junior Free Skating competitions. On October 3rd, the skaters performed their Short Program and today they completed the competition with the Long Program.

After the Short Program, the Italian Giada Luppi seemed to feel quite confident on the top of the ranking with an ample advantage (69.88 pts). Luiza D'Angelo (BRA) and Maria Marcelo Foyo Navarro (MEX) were very close each other with respectively 47.74 and 47.46 pts, followed by the Spanish Claudia Aguado (44.29 pts) and Anne Sophie Schiefer (GER) with 42.43 pts. Whilst Gold Medal expectations have been confirmed with Giada Luppi winning the 2021 title on "La Bruja" theme, there was a great come back for the second and third place. The Spanish Claudia Aguado, 4th after the Short Program, got the silver and the Portugues Mariana Almedia, thanks to a great performance on the music from the movie "Titanic", got the Bronze Medal, being 7th after the Short Program.

Junior Ladies

Gold Giada Luppi - ITA (180.10 pts)
Silver Claudia Aguado - SPA (121.39 pts)
Bronze Mariana Almedia - POR (117.39 pts)

In the Junior Men, it was a kind of a Spanish affair with Lucas Yañez (SPA) in the lead with 82.21 pts closely followed by his teammate Hector Diez with 81.21. In third and fourth position after the Short Program, respectively the Portuguese Diogo Nogueira with 58.42 pts and the Argentinian Donato Mastroiani Vito (58.14 pts) - fifth place for the Italian Edoardo Parasi with 53.24 pts.

Donato Mastroianni Vito with a final score of 167.76 climbed the ranking to the third position grabbing the Bronze medal. Hector Diez with 211.10 pts confirmed the second place of the Short Program and Lucas Yañez, on "Survivor", with 215.66 pts, got the better of his teammate and the Gold Medal.
