On June 17th the eighth edition of the World Master Championship and the second edition of the Veterans Cup ended in Bolzano (Italy): 80 matches have been played in the PalaOnda Arena and in the MeranArena.

12 Nations attended the event with 22 National teams. We are proud to announce that 2 new countries joined the FIRS family: Hungary and Slovakia.
In the Masters category, the Gold went to Czech Republic winning over the USA 3-1: the same result of the 2016 final. The Host team, Italy, won 2-0 over Switzerland and got the Bronze, redeeming the disappointment due to the bad rank in 2016. The new entry Slovakia surprised everybody by winning the Veterans Cup and beating the USA 8-4: Bronze for Czech Republic thanks to the final score 4-3 against Canada.
We would like to thank all the athletes attending, the Organisers and the volunteers for the great sport level and for the friendly mood that characterized the event in and out the rink.
