It took 12 minutes to France to unlock the score but, after the first goal hit by Duclos, "le Bleu" never stopped pushing. USA showed character and determination but it wasn't enough to turn the match to a different solution. France, with an advantage of 4 goal, gained the right to compete for the Gold Medal.












In the second semifinal, Latvia confirmed the really surprising performance of this World Championship, standing his ground and holding out against Czech Republic. After 8.01 minutes, the Latvian team took advantage of an error of the Czech Republic and hit the first goal of the match being succesful in keeping the score till the end of the first period. Back from the locker rooms, Czech Republic kept on pushing and, after 47 attacks, tied. Since then, the match was in the hands of the Czech: tomorrow they will play against France for the Gold Medal and, after the Gold both in Senior Women and Junior Men, the hat-trick of this Worlds.
