The purpose of this email is to allow all national federations to know the location and dates of the FIRS World Inline Roller Hockey Championships for 2008 which will include this year an election of the CIRILH President and a General Assembly for Inline Hockey.  This is the second bulletin that contains pertinent information on the Senior World Inline Hockey Championships in addition to international referee training seminars.

Please consult the two enclosures contained with this email as Microsoft Word Attachments that will describe registration details for each of these events.  For purposes of schedule planning, we would appreciate a response from you quickly as to your interest in participating in any or all of these events.  Note that the final deadline has been extended to June l, 2008 in order to allow the payment of team fees and completion of hotel registrations in order to have a final confirmed tally of teams before preparing the games competition schedule.  If there are problems for you, we would appreciate hearing about these immediately and perhaps we may be able to help facilitate your participation in the 2008 World Championships.

 A Special Point of Interest:

The Senior Men World Championships of 2008 in Dusseldorf will be the qualifier for the selection of the five (5) top placing inline hockey teams eligible to compete in the 2009 IOC sponsored World Games, scheduled for July 2009 in Chinese Taipei (Taiwan).  The sixth participating team will be that of Chinese Taipei, a concession to it being the hosting country.  The IWGA quadrennial World Games is a multi-sport assembly from all over the world which includes those designated International Federation sport disciplines that are not yet Olympic participants.  It is endorsed and supported by the International Olympic Committee, the General Assembly of International Sports Federation and the International World Games Association.

Let CIRILH know how we may help include your team as a 2008 World Championship participant.

Cordially,

George Pickard

President - FIRS Inline Hockey Committee
