The World Skate Games are an unprecedented experience where all 12 sports performed on skating wheels merge into a whirlwind of breathtaking emotions- a real festival of youth, where sport and entertainment mixes together.

Over 10,000 athletes, staff and teams from more than 100 countries will gather in Paraguay from October 2 to 18, 2026, bringing together 12 sports, one e-sport, and 23 World Championships taking place across venues such as Paraguayan Olympic Committee, the National Sports Secretariat, the Port of Asunción, the Asunción Costanera, as well as the cities of San Bernardino and Altos.
154 World Champions of their respective disciplines will be crowned in one of the world’s largest alternative sporting extravaganzas!
Leading on from the huge cultural and economic uplift of WSG Italia 24, World Skate Games ASU26 will project Paraguay onto the world stage, generating a strong sporting, tourism, and cultural impact. This huge event will showcase Paraguayan hospitality and position Asunción as an ever-more international sports capital.
After passing through Nanjing (2017), Barcelona (2019), Buenos Aires (2022), and Italy (2024), the event is returning to South America, positioning the region as an international hub for urban and speed roller sports.

ONE YEAR TO GO
The official countdown launch, titled “One Year To Go,” took place on Saturday, October 4, in downtown Asunción, on the iconic streets of Palma and Chile at 5:30 p.m., officially marking one year to the world’s ultimate roller sports experience. The event brought together a massive turnout of skaters from different disciplines, who gathered at Plaza Uruguaya and rolled out towards the event venue. The afternoon featured the presence of world-class Paraguayan skating athletes such as Erika Alarcón (Artistic Skating) and Julio César Mirena (Speed Skating), along with sports authorities and federation representatives, creating a unique prelude to what will be the Asunción 2026 edition. The event was open to the public, offering the chance to experience first-hand the passion for roller sports.
