World Skate mourns the loss of Eneas Comiche Jr., President of the Mozambican Skating Federation (FMP), a visionary leader who dedicated his life to developing roller sports across Africa.
Elected in 2020 and taking office in May 2022, Eneas led the FMP with passion and determination throughout his four-year mandate. A former banker inspired by Mozambique’s skating community to pursue federation leadership, he brought fresh energy and strategic vision to growing the sport in his nation.
Under his presidency, Mozambique achieved significant milestones on the international stage, competing at the World Games in Chengdu 2025, The World Games in Birmingham 2022, and the World Skate Games in Novara 2024. He championed Mozambican participation at the African Roller Hockey Championship in Luanda, Angola in 2025, demonstrating his commitment to continental competition.
Beyond his national role, Eneas served as President of the African Roller Hockey Committee and member of the Executive Committee of the African Skating Confederation, where his leadership helped strengthen sports infrastructure and opportunities across the continent. His vision extended beyond competition results - he worked tirelessly to create quality training facilities and pathways for new generations of Mozambican skaters.
Son of the former mayor of Maputo, Eneas understood the power of sport to transform communities and unite people.
The World Skate family extends deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the entire Mozambican skating community. His contributions to African roller sports will not be forgotten.
