WORLD SKATE EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETS TO DISCUSS KEY STRATEGIC INITIATIVES

On 22 June 2026, the Executive Board ofWorld Skateconvened to review a number of strategic initiatives aimed at supporting the continued growth and development of sports on skating wheels worldwide.

Among the key decisions adopted were the approval of two new provisional member federations from theCentral African RepublicandEquatorial Guinea, the launch of a new “World Cup” branding strategy for major competition circuits, and a renewed commitment to the development of adaptive sports with the long-term objective of Paralympic inclusion.

The Executive Board also approved updated anti-doping regulations for 2027, welcomed the International Federation’s significant progress in governance and transparency, as reflected in the latest governance review conducted by theAssociation of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF), and approved the reinstatement of athletes fromBelarusunder their national flag, in line with the framework established by theInternational Olympic Committee. Existing restrictions concerningRussiaremain unchanged.
