Dear friends,
the first FIRS Executive Board meeting of 2014 has just finished and I consider those two days of intense work extremely productive. It was the first Executive Board meeting after the Assembly of 2013, and I really appreciated the team spirit and the enthusiasm with which
we have together dealt concretely and constructively with issues related to all disciplines: each of us has provided to find solutions that can successfully meet the needs of both our traditional and emerging disciplines . We have, for example, taken on the need to find new ways for the World Championships of Rink- and Inline hockey , and we are analyzing together possible solutions.
We also paid special attention to the emerging disciplines that are bringing new energy in our world and I would like, in this regard, welcome in the great family of Roller Sports, the Chairmen of the three new Technical Committees, appointed by the Executive Board: Titus Dittmann, for the Comité International de Skateboarding ( CISB ), Eddie Chua for the Comité International de Freestyle (CIFS) and Sigi Ziestler for the Comité International de Roller Alpine (CIRA). I'm sure that, given the passion with which they are engaged in promoting Roller Sports in the world, their commitment will soon produce excellent results: a great challenge for all, and especially for Mr. Dittmann, appointed by the Executive Board as responsible for coordinating the organization of the first World Skateboarding Championships to be held in Germany in 2015.
You know better than me, dear friends, how various the world of Roller Sports is: it is our greatest key strength! But in order to well manage such different situations and the concerning amount of work, it is necessary to have a good team that knows how to face and overcome every challenge: a team made ??up of a cohesive leadership and an active and valid staff. Finally FIRS has this team !
One example: after a year of hard work by the FIRS staff, which followed the instructions of the management, the Executive Board has ratified the World Championships Bidding Application: a big organizational step, that will allow us to plan and standardize our main events at the highest quality levels. Such a work would have been unthinkable, few years ago, and that is a new starting point especially in order of an organized FIRS management .
I would like to thank for this, all members of the Executive Board: for their practical and proactive approach , for their passion, and for the great love they have for Roller Sports. We have all contributed with our ideas and our personalities, but always keeping in mind a single goal : the development of our sport !

Queridos amigos,
Recientemente se ha concluido la primera reunión del Buro Ejecutivo de FIRS del 2014 y no tengo dudas al definir estas jornadas que acaban de pasar como dos días de intenso trabajo extremadamente productivo. Ha sido la primera reunión del Buro Ejecutivo, después de la Asamblea del 2013, y me gustó mucho el espíritu de equipo y el entusiasmo con el cual todos juntos se han enfrentado concreta y constructivamente a temas relacionados con todas las disciplinas y cada uno ha proporcionado apoyo para encontrar soluciones que puedan satisfacer con éxito las necesidades tanto de nuestras disciplinas tradicionales como de las emergentes. Por ejemplo se abordó la necesidad de encontrar nuevas formulas para los campeonatos del hockey pista y hockey en línea, así que en conjunto estamos analizando posibles soluciones.
Además hemos puesto mucha atención a las nuevas disciplinas que traen consigo frescas energías y apropósito quisiera dar la bienvenida a la gran familia de los Roller Sports a los Directores de los nuevos Comités Técnicos, nombrados recientemente por el Buro Ejecutivo: Titus Dittman para el Comité Internationale de Skateboarding (CISB), Eddie Chua para el Comité Internationale de Freestyle (CIFS) y Sigi Ziestler para el Comité Internationale de Roller Alpine (CIRA). Estoy seguro que dada la pasión con la que siempre se han dedicado a promover los Roller Sports en el mundo, sus esfuerzos producirán pronto, excelentes resultados: Es un grande reto para todos y sobretodo para el Sr. Dittmann, al cual el Buro Ejecutivo ha encomendado la coordinación de la organización de los primeros Campeonatos Mundiales de Skateboarding, que se tendran en Alemania en el 2015.
Amigos, lo saben mejor que yo cuanto es variado el mundo de los Roller Sports: es nuestro punto de fuerza. Pero para poder diligenciar bien, situaciones tan diferentes y la carga de trabajo que deriva de ellas, es necesario que exista un equipo muy unido que sepa dar la cara para superar cualquier reto: un equipo formado por un liderazgo cohesivo y un personal activo y valido. Finalmente FIRS tiene este equipo!
Un ejemplo para todos: después de un año de trabajo intenso por parte del personal de FIRS, que ha seguido las indicaciones de la gerencia del Buro Ejecutivo ha ratificado la Licitación de los Campeonatos del Mundo: Un gran cambio a nivel organizacional que nos permitirá planificar y estandarizar nuestros principales eventos a los más altos niveles de calidad. Es un trabajo que, hasta hace unos años hubiera sido impensable y que es un nuevo punto de inicio, especialmente en la perspectiva de una gestión estructurada de FIRS.
Quisiera agradecer por ello, a todos los miembros del Buro Ejecutivo: por su enfoque práctico, proactivo, por la pasión que los anima y por el gran amor que tienen por los Roller Sports. Todos hemos contribuido con nuestras ideas y nuestra personalidad, pero teniendo siempre en cuenta un solo objetivo: el desarrollo de nuestro deporte!
