Inline Hockey at The World Games 2025 provided fans with one of the most captivating tournaments in recent years. Following the qualifications held at the World Skate Games 2024 in Roccaraso, 8 teams from four continents earned the right to participate: USA, Argentina, Italy, France, Namibia, Czech Republic, Chinese Taipei and China.

We witnessed a podium representing three continents - a testament to the global growth of this discipline:
🥇 United States – confirming their supremacy with an impeccable performance🥈 Czech Republic – always competitive, proving themselves among the elite once again🥉 Namibia – a young African team that surprised everyone
The bronze and gold medal finals were the beating heart of the event. The four protagonist teams demonstrated they deserved to be at the summit, with matches fought until the final second. In the end, the best teams prevailed. Notably, both winning teams came from Group A.

🇺🇸 Kevin Mooney (USA): 10 goals in 5 matches with a 41.67% efficiency rate. In the final, he scored a memorable hat trick, netting one goal per period and the decisive overtime winner. Pure talent.
🇺🇸 Nicholas Dellamorte (USA): 7 goals, always present in key moments.
🇳🇦 Christian Coetzee (Namibia): 6 goals, the driving force behind the young African team’s bronze medal achievement.
🇹🇼 KUO Cheng-Yu (Chinese Taipei): 6 goals, among the tournament’s top scorers.
Historical Context
This marked the sixth participation of inline hockey at The World Games. Gold has always been won by either the USA or Czech Republic. The Czech Republic claimed victory once, in Wrocław in 2017, while all other five editions (including China) have been won by the USA.
Namibia, with an average age just over 21 years, wrote a historic page by capturing a memorable bronze medal.

According to all athletes, the event was spectacular. The technical and logistical standards were of the highest level, reflecting two years of intense preparation. The organizing committee’s commitment was evident in every detail, making this edition one of the most successful ever.

“It is always very difficult to express in words the satisfaction we feel at the end of an event. Seeing athletes from every corner of the world compete with passion, mutual respect, and offering the highest technical level has been a privilege. We have worked for years to bring inline hockey to stages like this, and Chengdu exceeded every expectation. Special thanks go to all the athletes and team managers, who with their commitment, sportsmanship, and dedication have made this event unforgettable. I am certain it will remain in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of being there.” Said Andrea Fonzari, World Skate Inline Hockey Chair.

The World Games 2025 in Chengdu will be remembered as a milestone moment for inline hockey - a sport that continues to grow globally while maintaining the highest competitive standards. With representatives from four continents and a podium spanning three, the future of inline hockey has never looked brighter.
