WRG 2019 ARTISTIC: Senior pairs sent chills down spine

A day without medals has just ended. Senior pairs grabbed the spotlight with some outstanding short programs and Italian couples are currently dominating the competition. Rebecca Tarlazzi and Luca Lucaroni sit atop the standings thanks to their engaging performance to the catchy song “Scream and Shout” by and Britney Spears. These two roller skating’s stars wowed the audience by starting their program with an amazingly executed side by side triple salchow and a breathtaking triple twist.

Alice Esposito and Federico Rossi follow with their personal interpretation of the famous “El Tango De Roxanne” (theme from “Moulin Rouge”) and stood out with the technical elements since the spin pancake lift and the combo lift got Level 5. Another pairs couple from the Italian team, Gaia Colucci and Marco Garelli took the third place with an elegant program. The Spanish team of Elisenda Prat Celma and Artur Balague Guell, welcomed by the warm support of the Catalan crowd, occupy the provisional fourth position while the Americans Alexis Herbert and Eric Mueller the fifth one.

Now we are eagerly waiting for the long and intense weekend that awaits us, that is, the two final days of the World Roller Games 2019. We are pretty sure that we’ll witness many other outstanding performances that won’t disappoint enthusiasts’ expectations! So, let’s make a brief summary about tomorrow’s actions. We’ll start with senior couple dance’ style dances and we’ll go on with the final rounds of the senior free skating men and ladies.
