The 2026 Artistic World Cup Final has arrived. All five World Skate continents will converge in Cesena, Italy, for one of the most prestigious events of the season.

From June 1–7, 2026, the Artistic World Cup reaches its dramatic climax at the Pala BCC Romagnolo. This is the moment where everything is on the line. The intensity rises as skaters battle for a place on the podium, driven by the dream of seeing their flag raised and earning the ultimate title: World Cup Champion.

The world’s elite athletes secured their place through qualifying events in Argentina and Germany, fighting for an invitation to this exclusive final. To ensure global representation, Wild Card selections have guaranteed that every region of the world has a presence on the Final stage.

Expect World Champions, record-breakers, and rising stars all making their way to Italy from 25 countries ready to deliver unforgettable performances.

But one final opportunity still remains. One last spot in each category is still available, and for those who have fought all season for this moment, the dream is not over yet.

Held immediately before the Final in Cesena from May 27-30, the Last Chance event embodies determination and belief.

Cadet through Senior athletes will perform only the Long Program or Free Dance. There are no second chances. The pressure is unmatched. For some, it will end in heartbreak; for others, triumph. First-place finishers in each category will earn a direct ticket to the Final. This is far from an ordinary competition—World Champions and World medalists will be fighting for the opportunity to secure their place on the sport’s biggest stage.

What to Look for in Cesena

Both Madalena Costa of Portugal and Guillermo Gomez of Spain will be chasing their first Senior Free Skating World Cup Final titles. Having grown up competing within the World Cup structure, Costa and Gomez represent how the system develops not only stronger athletes, but ones who seek record breaking score.

Positioned between Last Chance and the Final, the 2026 Show & Precision World Cup will spotlight some of the sport’s most spectacular group performances. Featuring Show, Quartet, and Precision events across both Junior and Senior divisions, the weekend promises a celebration of creativity, theatrics, and the energy that makes roller sports so captivating.

Senior Couples Dance is set for one of the most anticipated battles of the event, featuring the entire podium from the 2025 World Championships. Italy’s Altieri & Sasso and Allegranti & Artoni will battle for top honors while facing strong challenges from Colombia’s Folleco & Muñoz.

The Senior Ladies Solo Dance competition promises a thrilling display of passion, artistry, and technical excellence. The field includes World Champions and medalists, with leading contenders such as Italy’s Roberta Sasso, Spain’s Natalia Baldizzone, Brazil’s Gabriella Giraldi, and Paraguay’s Erika Alarcon expected to contend for podium positions. Adding another exciting storyline, 2025 Junior World Champion Quinty Van Lare of the Netherlands will make her Senior Solo Dance Final debut while also pursuing success in Senior Ladies Free Skating.

Just prior to the Final, Last Chance will have high intensity. These events are expected to deliver fierce competition and feature several familiar faces fighting to keep their hopes alive. Italy’s Gherardo Altieri and Caterina Artoni in Solo Dance, along with Spanish free skaters Lucas Yanez and Unai Cereijo, will put everything on the line in pursuit of a place in the Final.

And the future of the sport will have its own moment to shine. The stars of tomorrow will enjoy the special opportunity to compete in the same venue as their heroes, creating unforgettable memories while showcasing their talent and enthusiasm.

Another significant step in demonstrating the growth and prestige of Artistic Skating is the Senior prize package. With $36,000 on the line, the stakes have never been higher, and Senior athletes will have their eyes firmly fixed on the prize.

The venue is ready. The skaters are ready. The officials are ready.

Don’t miss the very special Gala, to be held on Sunday, June 7th. It will feature a special showcase of some incredible skaters.

The 2026 World Cup Final is set to be one for the record books.
