It is the most important moment of the last two years. The Rink Hockey World Championship opens its doors in Paraguay and will deliver an extraordinary spectacle on the rink.
Eight teams will battle to secure the best possible position for the quarter-finals, followed by the grand final, which will bring the entire World Skate Games programme to a close. Group A will feature Italy, Portugal, Spain (World Champion) and Switzerland; Group B will feature France, Chile, Argentina and Angola. The World Championship begins today at 13:15 (local time) with the opening match between Chile and Angola. The schedule then includes two fantastic matches, Spain–Italy (15:30) and Argentina–France (17:45), which will already give a good indication of the qualification standings. The schedule will conclude with Switzerland–Portugal (20:00), also live on www.worldskate.tv.
Meanwhile, the Intercontinental Men’s tournament, featuring six teams, will be played at SND Arenita. It will be a single round-robin group of six teams: Austria, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Australia and South Africa.
On opening day, Australia will face Mexico (10:30), Brazil will face Austria (12:45), and South Africa will face Colombia (15:00).
