At 19:00 at the COP Arena, the World Skate Games Asuncion 2026 will come to a close, with the Gold Medal Final between Argentina and France getting underway. Argentina are chasing their seventh title, while France are aiming for their first historic title. A new generation of French players has made huge strides in this sport, but Argentina have one of the strongest rink hockey squads in their long history. The most-awaited players are Carlo Di Benedetto, who leads the World Championship top scorers with 9 goals, and Gonzalo Romero, who has scored 2 goals but is the heartbeat of the Argentine team.

After the medal ceremony, it will also be time for the closing ceremony at the COP Arena. Before the Gold Medal Final, there will be two other significant events.
