As Downhill aficionados may have already spotted during the events on Lambaré Hill in Paraguay earlier this month, World Skate and R4WRUN have partnered up, meaning that future World Skate downhill events will be administered via this innovative Downhill-specific event-management platform.
The data derived from R4WRUN's analytics will shape the World Downhill Skateboarding Ranking (WDSR).
Instant benefits for our community include:
- Live Race Operations: Real-time start lists and elimination heat brackets on race day and live times during time trial as well as deltas between athletes and athletes on track, meaning everyone knows who is on-track at every second.
- Rankings & Career History: Access to official event history and current tour standings, with statistics for every heat.
- Heat Insights: Matchup forecasts, performance analysis for upcoming/current heats, statistics from the past heats- and penalties.
- Custom Rider Profiles: Dedicated pages for athletes to define their gear setup (leather suit & helmet), specify their sponsors and link their social media.
- GPS Integration: Ability for riders to upload GPS telemetry runs (especially with RaceBox data) to analyse speeds and racing lines.
Our shared hope is that the R4WRUN system provides all our Downhill athletes and coaches with a simplified, better-integrated and more insightful race-day experience!
