The second day of the 42nd World Championship of Rink Hockey gave a lot of emotions and issued some important verdicts.
In the Vendespace in La Roche Sur Yon (France), eight games were played during sunday, starting from early morning and untill late at night.

And all day long the world championship offered amazing results.
The most exciting match were played between the Spain (defending champion) and the ambitious team of Angola. The africans, despite a clear technical inferiority, have resisted to the current world champion, drawing 1-1 at the end of regular time and have lost the game only after the penalties (3-1 in favour of Spain). Thanks to this result, Spain gained the first place in the group A with a round of matches still to play.
In the other match of the group A, the home team of France got its first victory against Netherlands clearly winning 7-0.
In group B, both Argentina and Mozambique have already earned the qualification to the quarter-finals. The world vice-champions have defeated England with a large result (8-1), while Mozambique has suffered a lot against Switzerland (3-1).
In group C, Portugal has got three points with Germany after a very balanced game, despite the portuguese team had scored twice in the first 35 seconds of the match. In the first match of the day, Austria achieved the most unpredictable victory of the day against a disappointing Brazil.
Finally, in group C, Italy and Colombia have created a beautiful match: the south american team scored first and ended the first half ahead, but in the second half Italy succeeded in coming back and won the match with the final results of 3-2. In the second match of the group, Chile gave a proof of its strenght overwhelming South Africa 14-1.
