This November, the city of Sakai in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan — just outside Tokyo — will host two of the most anticipated events in the world of action sports: the 2025 Scootering Park & Street World Championships and the 2025 Roller Freestyle Park & Street World Championships.

Organized by World Skate, both events will bring together elite athletes from around the globe for a week of high-level competition, progression, and global community.

Location & Travel Info

  • Venue: Sakai City, Ibaraki Prefecture, near Tokyo

  • Closest Airports:

    • Tokyo Narita (NRT): 52 miles

    • Tokyo Haneda (HND): 57 miles

  • Travel Time: 60–90 minutes by car, or 80–90 minutes by highway bus from Tokyo Central Station
