Understanding Skateboard Judging


Please join our webinar “Understanding Skateboard Judging” being held on March 17th 2021 at 6:00 PM (CET).

The first in a series of information based webinars that will be released over the course of the next year and open to anyone interested in learning more about skateboarding. These webinars are intended to share knowledge and information on the way to Tokyo and beyond, by giving a more detailed view of skateboarding at World Skate.

 “Understanding Skateboard Judging” will be hosted by Shiran Habekost and have guest speakers Matt Milligan, Martin Karas and Vanessa Torres. It will give insight into the principles and mechanics of the evaluation and scoring of a skateboarder’s performance. Topics will include the history of competitive skateboarding and judging, understanding the evolution into Olympic judging, the different types of skateboarding, moving competitive skateboarding ahead and how judging is used at a tool to rank people appropriately.
