World Skate is launching its new Judging Certification Program to develop the next generation of skateboard judges as the first important step on their pathway to becoming involved in ever-bigger international skateboard events.

The International Skateboarding Judging Commission was created to understand and establish consistent methodology in judging skateboard contests, from National level and beyond.

With skateboarding growing globally, there is an obvious requirement for those skateboarders who take part in World Skate-sanctioned events to not only have fun, but also enjoy a fair experience based on consistent judging, which extends throughout World Skate's governance.

The International Judging Certification program consists of three strata of seniority through which judges can progress through their experience, learning, and improvement- with a frequent evaluation of their actual judging skills and qualities.

Since skateboarding’s debut in Tokyo, the success of the World Skateboarding Tour and the entire Road To Paris Experience mean that skateboarding, as a whole, is going to grow rapidly once again from 2025 onwards. 

This not only means more events in general, but more tiers of events coming down the World Skate pipeline right through the LA 2028 Olympic cycle and beyond. 

So this is your official invite to join our Judging Certification Program, participate, and contribute with your expertise to hold and deliver brilliant events, all of which will help our fellow skateboarders ever closer to fulfilling their dreams!
