This morning Marathons concluded this fantastic edition of the FIRS World Roller Speed Skating Championships. A sunny morning sky was the perfect scenery of a great sports event that included the Men, Women and Under/Over Marathons.
Colombia leads the Medal list with 20 Gold medals out of 45, followed by France with 6 Golds and Italy with 5.

The Colombian team confirmed its predominance in all the categories even though they conquered 6 Gold Medal less then last year. This edition of the FIRS World Roller Speed Skating Championships was pretty eventful. Chile and Ecuador were able to reach the highest steps of the podium once again. China improved last edition's results going from just 1 bronze to 6 medals: 1 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze. Venezuela, Korea and Chinese Taipei also did better than last year. This proves that the work done during these past years in promoting Roller Sports all over the world is definitely paying off.

The 2016 FIRS World Roller Speed Skating Championships had about 415 athletes coming from 40 Countries and 5 continents experiencing strong moments of sport, fair-play and happiness. Here in Nanjing, East and West have merged under the Roller Sports flag.
