The first step towards "Nanjing - Capital of Roller Sports" has been done yesterday with the opening of the FIRS International Seminar for Coaches and Ambassadors at the presence of National and Local Top Authorities: The Nanjing Vice Mayor, Mr Wanjin Hu, together with Mrs Beijan Liu, Vice President of the CRSA and Mr Weihong Chen, Director of Nanjing Sports Bureau have welcomed the coaches coming from 5 Continents for the International Seminar organized by FIRS in partnership with the City of Nanjing.
























The greetings from the FIRS President, Mr Sabatino Aracu, were also the cue to introduce the Ambassador Project which aims to improve the promotion of Roller Sports all over the world by creating managers and coaches able to set up modern and efficient Federations in the developing countries.
In the words of Mr Wanjin Hu: "Nanjin wants to contribute to the huge explosion of Roller Sports all over the world: This is the reason why we believed in the Capital of Roller Sports Project that, in the next years, will bring here in our City top events as the World Roller Speed Skating Championships and the Roller Games."
Mr Sabatino Aracu, FIRS President: "This Seminar is already an example of the high quality event that it will be possible to realize thanks the perfect partnership between the FIRS and the Nanjing management: we are sure that the next year World Championships and the Roller Games will be up to the expectations."
The coaches attending showed a huge enthusiasm for this opportunity to share experiences and points of view in a crossing-borders meeting: the first two days have been dedicated to the case studies of Colombia, Italy, Taiwan, New Zealand and Korea in addition to a theoretical approach to the coaching technics. Tomorrow, it will be the turn of practice in the tracks with a focus on specifical issues.
