An exciting day of skating come to a climax in a truly spectacular finale.

In the second and final day at the "Sorelle Ramonda Arena" circuit, the long-distance races are reversed from yesterday. Junior categories compete in the elimination race and Senior’s in the point race.

In the junior women's category, with nearly 27 intense minutes of racing, we witnessed a spectacle of overtakes, breakaways, a few tumbles, and incredible surges from these young athletes.

Once again, Colombia showcased its power in the competition. Giulia Presti, representing Italy, found herself settling for the silver medal yet again, narrowly missing out on the top spot. Meanwhile, Aubane Plouhinec of France added another bronze medal to her already impressive collection.

The junior men's race was a showdown featuring the well-known talents of Carlos Pisciotti, representing Colombia, alongside Quentin Poujoul from France and Jilek Metodej from the Czech Republic, winning respectively gold, silver and bronze. These young athletes gave to the spectators a race of incredible intensity, demonstrating unwavering determination and skills on the difficult circuit.

The senior women's races witnessed an outstanding display of talent, resilience, and collaboration, with Fabriana Arias and Gabriela Rueda. These athletes demonstrated not only their individual brilliance but also a remarkable level of teamwork and synergy, making the right moves at the right time as several breakaways happened during the race.

The result was a spectacular one-two finish, with gold and silver medals going to Colombia.

In the senior men's race, Bart Swings wasted no time, launching a powerful attack right from the first lap in pursuit of valuable points. His aggressive strategy paid off as he quickly broke away from the pack, accumulating important points.

The peloton struggled to bridge the gap right away, but after several laps other breakaways took place and finally the other Belgian skater Jason Suttels, added a significant number of points. This strategic move earned him a well-deserved silver medal, with his teammate Bart Swings leading the way to secure gold.

It's Senior's turn to compete in the "one lap" event. They've gone through the various and intense rounds of qualifications, leading up to the final.

The moment that the entire world of in line skating has been eagerly awaiting has finally arrived. After 2 bronze medals and 2 silver medals Italian Duccio Marsili clinches the long-awaited gold medal and becomes World Champion. A perfect conclusion of the circuit races as the national hero fulfills his dreams.

Nonetheless, the performance of the other Italian athlete, Asja Varani, for four hundredths short, must settle for the silver medal behind the Colombian Kerstinck Sarmiento.

What a day for the host nation, seeing the β€œtricolore” wave proudly in the sky.

Next up in Vicenza on Via Mazzini, near the medieval walls, for the thrilling 100-meter sprint races.
