The wait is almost over: Argentina is ready for the World Skate Games 2022!
With just 4 days remaining for the 3rd edition of the World Skate Games to start and 9 days for the Rink Hockey championships, the cities of Buenos Aires, Vicente López and San Juan are ready to host the world’s biggest skating sports event. More than 7 thousand athletes, from 80 countries, will compete for the gold in several venues, divided between the three cities.
The Games begin on the 24th of October – with the opening ceremony taking place on the 29th, in Buenos Aires - and end in San Juan, on the 13th of November. Inline Hockey will be the sport opening the WSG 2022, (on October 24th.), and the Rink Hockey Senior Male World Championship final – played in the mythical Aldo Cantoni – will close 21 days of pure skating sports celebration.
The Rink Hockey matches will be divided into four different competitions: Senior World Championship (Male and Female), Intercontinental Championship (Male and Female), Challenger's Championship and Under 19 Male World Championship. And, of course, the "Aldo Cantoni" stadium won't be the only one involved: the matches, all live streamed on the official Web Tv of the event - www.worldskategames.tv - will be played also in the stadiums UPCN, La Superiora and Marcelo García in San Juan,
The Senior Male first championship phase will be played in a round-robin format. Then, play-off matches will be played between the two lowest-ranked teams in the Senior Male World Championship and the two best Intercontinental Male teams (the first two in each group).
The winning teams of these matches will compete in the second phase of the Senior Male World Championship (quarterfinals, semi-finals and final), and the losing teams will enter the Male Intercontinental championship.
The final countdown has begun for the major and exceptional sports event of the year 2022!
