During the 2015 edition of the Panamerican Games, hold in Toronto since July 10 to 26, one new record has been set ad was in the roller sports: the Artistic roller skater Marcel Sturmer, from Brazil, won his 4th medal in a row and was the first in the history of the Panamerican Games to reach such a great success.
Two roller disciplines are in the Panamerican Games Programme: Artistic Skating and Speed Skating and both of them guaranteed show and athletism to the copious public present in the venues.
In the Artistic Skating competition Women's Free Program, Giselle Soler from Argentina won the Gold Medal.
In Speed Skating, three competitions took place: 200m Time Trial, 500m and 10.000 points.
The 200m Time Trial and the 500m Women have been won by the Colombian Andrea Hellen Monotoya Rios while her compatriot Pedro Causil won the 500m Men.
Emanuelle Silva from Chile, won the 200m Time Trial Men. The 10.000 points have been won by Maira Arias (Argentina) in the Women and by Mike Paez (Mexico) in the Men competition.
