Dear friends, it is with pride and satisfaction that I have the pleasure to inform you that there will be a challenge between the cities of Barcelona and Lima for organizing the first edition of the Roller Games - FIRS World Championships scheduled in 2017. This is the first answer that follows the submission of the bidding applications for...
the appointment of the Roller Games, the deadline of which were set by the FIRS on October 31,2014.
The competition will be open to the two big metropolitan cities of Lima (Peru) and Barcelona (Spain), whose delegations in the last days have registered at FIRS HQ their candidacies.
The important applications of Barcelona and Lima, supported not only by local authorities but also by the governments and the National Olympic Committees, are the best prologue of the Roller Games, which, as you know, are the first event that centralizes in one spot the World Championships of all Roller Sports disciplines.
Both cities have demonstrated their ability to understand the potential growth connected to sporting events at very high level, investing a lot of resources: Lima will indeed host the Pan American Games of 2019 and Barcelona , since the Olympic Games in 1992, has been working to create an international image as sport city.
The distinguished participation of Barcelona and Lima is the proof that the entire sports world is finally increasing the awareness of the technical value and of the image of Roller Sports, which, after the intense and fruitful preparatory work prepared by FIRS over these years, has attended the Youth Olympics of Nanjjng 2014 as showcasing discipline and from 2017 it will also be part of the University Games.
On February 21, during the work of our FIRS Assembly that will gather in Rome delegates from around the world, in the presence of the Promoters Committees and of the authorities of the two candidate cities, the first Roller Games of the history will be assigned.
In the belief that this is a significant step towards the ambitious project that, together, we started a few years ago for the Roller Sports, I take this opportunity to send you my warmest greetings.

Queridos amigos,
Es con orgullo y satisfacción que tengo el placer de informaros que será un reto a dos entre Barcelona y Lima, a la hora de escoger la ciudad que tendrá el honor de organizar la primera edición de los Roller Games - Campeonatos del Mundo de FIRS, previstos para el 2017.
Esta es la primera respuesta después de la presentación de las candidaturas al documento de licitación para la adjudicación de los Roller Games, en los términos establecidos por FIRS que expiran el 31 de octubre de 2014.
La competenciaestará abierta para dos grandes ciudades metropolitanas como Lima (Perú) y Barcelona (España), cuyas delegaciones en los últimos días han presentado ante la Oficina de FIRS las propias propuestas de candidatura.
Las principales candidaturas de Barcelona y Lima, con el apoyo no sólo de las autoridades locales, sino también de los gobiernos y de los Comités Olímpicos Nacionales, son el mejor prólogo que podíamos esperar para los Roller Games, que, como sabéis, son el primer evento que centraliza en un solo campeonato del mundo todas las disciplinas de los Roller Sports.
Las dos ciudadeshan demostrado su capacidad para entender el potencial de crecimiento ligado a eventos deportivos al más alto nivel, con la inversión de una gran cantidad de recursos: de hecho Lima será la sede de los Juegos Panamericanos de 2019, mientras que Barcelona desde los Juegos Olímpicos de 1992 ha siempre trabajado para crear una imagen internacional como ciudad del deporte.
La acreditada participación de Barcelona y Lima es la prueba de que todo el mundo del deporte está finalmente ganando conciencia sobre el valor y la imagen técnica de los Roller Sports, los cuales, después de la intensa y fructífera labor preparatoria elaborada por FIRS en los últimos años, participaron como disciplina demostrativa en los Juegos Olímpicos de la Juventud en Nanjing '14 y desde el 2017 también harán parte de los Juegos Universitarios.
El próximo 21 defebrero, durante la jornada laboral de nuestra Asamblea FIRS la cual reunirá delegados de todas partes del mundo en Roma, será previsto, en presencia de los Comités promotores y de las autoridades de las dos candidatas, la asignación de la sede que por primera vez en la historia realizara los Roller Games.
Con la idea de queeste sea un paso decisivo hacia la consecución del ambicioso proyecto que, juntos, empezamos hace unos años para los Roller Sports, aprovecho la oportunidad para entregaros mis más cordiales saludos.
