Xinhua City, Hunan Province to host inaugural finale with $40,000 prize pool
World Skate is proud to announce the first edition of the Speed Track Series World Cup - World Final, taking place on November 22-23, 2025 in Xinhua City, Hunan Province, People's Republic of China. This landmark competition brings together the world's best senior speed skaters for an unprecedented showdown on the track, marking the grand finale of the 2025 speed skating season.
A New Chapter in Speed Skating
The Track Series World Cup Final represents a groundbreaking format in competitive speed skating. This prestigious event features athletes competing for their clubs or brand teams across both short and long-distance disciplines, with separate rankings for women and men in each of the two race types.
Competition Format:
- Short Distance: 200m Dual Time Trial & 500m +D Sprint
- Long Distance: 5,000m Points Race & 10,000m Elimination Race
Who Can Compete
The event welcomes two groups of senior category participants:
Qualified Skaters - The competition has already secured qualified athletes from four different continents, representing the best talent from Continental Track Series and Continental Areas competitions (exempt from entry fees). View qualified athletes here
Wild Card Skaters - The competition remains open to athletes from any continent through the Wild Card registration process. This is your opportunity to compete against the world's best! Wild Card competitors will have the chance to join qualified skaters by winning qualification rounds at the beginning of each competition day, with direct access to the prize money finals.
Record Prize Money
World Skate is excited to offer a total prize pool of USD $40,000, distributed among the top 10 women and top 10 men in both short and long distance categories. The prize structure rewards excellence across four separate rankings:

Provisional Competition Schedule
Saturday, November 22nd
- Morning: Wild Card qualification rounds, 200m DTT and 5,000m Points Race qualifications
- Afternoon: 200m DTT Final and 5,000m Points Race Final
Sunday, November 23rd
- Morning: Wild Card qualification rounds, 500m +D Sprint and 10,000m Elimination qualifications
- Afternoon: Finals across all remaining distances
Official training sessions will be held on November 20-21, with the Technical Meeting scheduled for November 21st.
Location & Venue
The competition will take place at a world-class track facility in Xinhua City. The nearest international airport is Changsha Huanghua International Airport (CSX), with accommodation packages and airport transfers available through the Local Organizing Committee.

Registration is now open through the World Skate Infinity Platform! Wild Card athletes from all continents are encouraged to register and compete for their share of the prize money.
All athletes and coaches must complete the corresponding Google Forms and create their profiles on the Infinity Platform:

Wild Card athletes must pay a $100 USD entry fee through the Infinity Platform.
Competition Rules & Rankings
Points are awarded for each race: 1st place receives 30 points, 2nd place 29 points, 3rd place 28 points, and down to 15th place: 26 / 24 / 22 / 20 / 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 / 10 / 8 / 6 / 4. All other ranked skaters receive 2 points. Separate rankings will be maintained for each gender and race type (short distance and long distance).
Uniform Requirements: Skaters must wear their club or sponsor team skinsuits. National team uniforms are not permitted.

International participants should contact their local Chinese Embassy or Consulate well in advance to verify visa requirements. Important: Invitation letters will only be issued after completing the registration process on the World Skate Infinity Platform.
Anti-Doping Requirements
All athletes and staff members must upload a valid Anti-Doping Training Course Certificate during registration. Certificates from WADA (ADEL platform), ITA, National Anti-Doping Agencies, or World Skate issued in 2023, 2024, or 2025 are accepted.
