It is with great regret that the FIRS has to communicate that yesterday Barbara Fischer passed away.

She started as a speed skater in the Deutscher Rollsport Federation and won various National and International Championships, besides the World Games. At the end of the career as an athlete, she kept on being involved in the roller world and became an international judge, the youngest judge ever attending a World Championship.

In the words of Sabatino Aracu, FIRS president: "She was a true athlete, an excellent international judge and a great friend: we all will miss her".
