On April 16th was inaugurated Geisingen Arena, the first covered inline skating arena in Germany. This unique stadium is situated in the middle of beautiful leisure and sports facilities close to Geisingen.

Apart from a covered 200 m track, the arena has got a separate 480 m road circuit around a lake. A modern track geometry and the Vesmaco coating guarantee very fast and excellent races.



The first sporting event was organized in conjunction with the opening of the arena; in fact on April 17th and 18th the best athletes in the world took part in the second stage of the 2010 World Inline Cup; in the meanwhile the arena will host national championships in July.



The building is already regarded as the temple of the indoor skating and many people wish that the location will host the 2011 World Championships.
