The 2025 World Skate Marathon Tour is about to begin, with the first race taking place in Shanghai, China, on March 30th. This year, 14 teams with athletes from 18 countries will compete in this exciting tour, setting the stage for an amazing inline speed skating season. Six of these teams are brand new, highlighting the growing interest from both brands and athletes.
To make the competition even more exciting, a new award will be introduced this year: the "Best Combative Skater" for both Pro Women and Pro Men, with a $500 prize for each. The "Future Star" ranking will also debut, dedicated to skaters under 22 years old, offering a $3,000 prize per gender. Additionally, the season-long competition will motivate athletes with end-of-year prizes totaling $80,000 ($40,000 per gender) for the Pro category. Teams will also compete for a season-ending prize pool of $80,000, with the winning team taking home $16,000.
A new Green Jersey will be introduced for the Leading Pro Men and Women: a true symbol of the event and an iconic mark of the World Skate Marathon Tour. Every athlete dreams of wearing it, as it represents excellence and true glory. Alongside it, the White Jersey will be awarded to the Future Star Men and Women, celebrating the most promising young skaters under 22.
Special thanks to our partner NOTHING, here the new jersey!
